Ciel Power LLC Terms & Conditions

These terms cover our home energy audit services and our optional SMS messaging program.

1. Service Description

Ciel Power LLC ("Ciel," "we," "us," or "our") provides home energy audit services to residential customers to evaluate energy use and recommend improvements that enhance energy efficiency, comfort, and safety. The audit includes:

  • An on-site inspection conducted by a certified auditor
  • Energy modeling using industry-standard software
  • Diagnostic testing (e.g., blower door test, combustion safety checks)
  • A detailed written report with findings and recommendations
  • Consultation to review the report and discuss next steps

2. Scheduling and Appointments

Customers may schedule their audit online, by phone, or through municipal partner programs.

  • Rescheduling: You may reschedule your appointment at any time without penalty.
  • Cancellations & Refunds: You may cancel for a full refund up to the time of your appointment.
  • No-Show Policy: If no one is present to grant access at the scheduled time, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the appointment. Refunds will still be honored if requested.

3. Access and Safety

The homeowner or a designated adult must be present at the time of the audit to provide access to all necessary areas, including attics, basements, utility rooms, and crawlspaces.

  • Clear and safe access must be provided to areas requiring inspection.
  • Our auditors may decline to access areas they deem unsafe or hazardous.

4. Use of Collected Data

By scheduling a Ciel Home Energy Audit, you consent to the collection and use of household data as described in our Privacy Policy.

  • Audit data may be used to prepare rebate or incentive applications, generate certifications, and support reporting to program administrators (e.g., Pearl Certification).
  • Data will be securely stored and may be retained indefinitely for program eligibility and tracking purposes.
  • We do not sell your data and we do not share property-specific information with government agencies except as required to administer incentive programs, permitting, or as otherwise required by law.

5. Insurance & Liability

Ciel Power LLC maintains:

  • General liability insurance to protect against damage caused during the audit
  • Workers’ compensation insurance for our employees

While all care is taken during the audit, we are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing conditions or damage unrelated to our work
  • Recommendations not implemented by Ciel or a verified contractor

6. Report and Recommendations

Your energy audit report is provided as a professional recommendation only. Implementation of the upgrades is optional and may be carried out by Ciel or another provider of your choosing.

  • Estimates and projections are based on modeling tools and best-available data but are not guaranteed.
  • Participation in incentive programs is subject to eligibility requirements beyond Ciel’s control.

7. Customer Acknowledgment

By submitting your appointment, you acknowledge:

  • That you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
  • That you grant Ciel Power LLC and its representatives permission to access your property to perform the audit
  • That you agree to the use and storage of your data as outlined

Submitting an appointment or accepting these audit terms does not by itself enroll you in SMS messaging.

8. SMS Terms & Conditions

Ciel Power Service Messages. If you separately opt in, Ciel Power LLC may send you text messages through Nutshell, our CRM provider, about appointment reminders, scheduling changes, and service updates for your audit and related services. This program does not enroll you in promotional or marketing texts.

  • Consent: SMS participation is optional and is not a condition of purchasing services. You must provide a number you are authorized to use and expressly agree to receive these messages.
  • Frequency and charges: Message frequency varies with your appointments, services, and conversations with our team. Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless provider about your plan.
  • Opting out: Reply STOP to any program message to stop receiving texts. You may receive a final confirmation of your opt-out. You can also request an opt-out by contacting us directly. Opting out of texts does not cancel your appointment or services. To resume messaging, contact us to provide fresh consent.
  • Help: Reply HELP for assistance, email info@cielpower.com, or call (201) 632-3463.
  • Delivery: Delivery depends on your wireless provider and network availability. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Privacy: Our SMS privacy disclosure explains how we handle mobile numbers, messages, and consent records.
