We started this company because home improvement needed improving.
In 2010, our founders, Scott Fischer and Steve Austin, tried to make their own homes more energy efficient. What they found was a process full of confusing information, overwhelming paperwork, and contractors who treated homeowners as an afterthought. They believed New Jersey families deserved better, so they built a company that puts the homeowner at the center of everything: clear guidance, honest recommendations, and real care from the first phone call to the final inspection.
Sixteen years later, Ciel Power has completed more than 5,000 home energy assessments and hundreds of whole home upgrade projects across northern and central New Jersey.

Every recommendation starts with measurement, not a sales pitch. Blower door testing, infrared imaging, and combustion safety checks tell us exactly how your home performs before we suggest a single upgrade.
Program mastery
New Jersey's utility incentive programs are generous and complicated. We work inside them every day, so we prepare the paperwork, submit the applications, and track your rebate so you do not have to learn the fine print.
Verified results
We test every home before and after the work. Follow up diagnostics confirm your upgrades perform as designed, and qualifying projects earn Pearl Certification that documents their value when you sell.
The people behind the work
Our team includes BPI certified energy auditors, home performance consultants, and installation crews who have been improving New Jersey homes for as long as two decades. Managing Member Scott Fischer spent more than ten years at Paychex helping small businesses before founding Ciel Power, and he is the author of #HOME: 101 Ways to Improve Your Home's Comfort and Energy Efficiency (2016).

Since our first municipal partnership with Highland Park in 2012, more than a dozen New Jersey towns have chosen Ciel Power to bring home energy audits to their residents. We plant a tree for every audit we perform through our TreeEra partnership.
