After spending their days helping homeowners improve the energy efficiency of their homes, many Ciel employees will begin spending their nights and weekends lowering their own carbon emissions through the company's participation in the Drawdown EcoChallenge,
During the company's participation in this 21 day engagement program, Ciel employees, colleagues, and affiliates participating in the effort will track and share their progress and earn points for taking action. Action items follow solutions highlighted in Drawdown, a book based on research that maps, measures, models, and describes solutions to global warming.
Drawdown EcoChallenge is free and open to the public. Participants interested in joining Ciel's team, joining another community team, or forming their own team can do so at the Drawdown EcoChallenge website. Over 80 actions within seven categories are available to participants.
Project Drawdown is a broad coalition of researchers, scientists, graduate students, PhDs, post-docs, policy makers, business leaders, and activists who have come together to map, measure, and model the best available solutions that can cumulatively reverse global warming within the next 30 years.
